Here’s everything we know about the Chester Bennington tribute concert

'We will be playing, laughing, and crying together.'

Chester Bennington died by suicide in July – shocking his fans as well as the wider music industry.

The Linkin Park frontman’s life is to be celebrated by his bandmates and fans in a tribute show next month.

The band have announced a special show in honour of the singer that will take place at the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. on October 27.

According to reports, the band will be joined by a list of other musicians for the special event which will raise funds for the band’s Music For Relief’s One More Light Fund.

The fund was started by the band back in 2004 after the Indian Ocean tsunami, and the charity has raised over $9 million for disaster relief and climate change education ever since.

The band’s second vocalist, Mike Shinoda, announced the news with a tweet today that read:

“We will be playing, laughing, and crying together at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 27, in honour of Chester.

“Love you guys.”

This all comes after the band released a music video for One More Light in honour on Bennington today.

The video features clips from behind-the-scenes of the band’s tour.

Tickets for the event will go on sale this coming Friday.
