The band are going to make their fourth headline appearance at the summer festival.

Coldplay has just been announced as the first headline act to be confirmed for Glastonbury Festival 2016. They will play at the Pyramid Stage on Sunday, June 26th.

Their Glastonbury performance will be the band’s only festival show of their A Head Full Of Dreams Tour.

This will be their fourth time headlining the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, having previously performed in 2002, 2005 and 2011. It also makes them the first artists to ever headline the festival four times.

Their 2011 set was voted ‘Top Glastonbury Moment’ by BBC Radio listeners.
