Everything you need to know before going to Body&Soul

Her

The wait is almost over.

We’ve pretty much been looking forward to this year’s Body&Soul Festival since…well, last year.

We can’t wait to spend the weekend bopping around to some of our favourite bands, trying out the amazing food and hopefully relaxing in the sunshine (fingers crossed).

Here’s our roundup of everything you need to know before the big weekend.

When is it?

Body&Soul is taking place from 23-25 June at Ballinlough Castle, Co. Westmeath.

How to get there?

You have three options. You can pack up a car with all your friends and drive to the festival. If you’re going it alone you can join GoCarShare and grab a lift with another festival-goer. Or you can take the bus which leaves from Custom House Quay in Dublin city centre. Here are the times:

Who’s playing?

The festival lineup is seriously impressive this year from Lampchop to Bonobo and everything in between. We still don’t have set times for the gigs but you can see a list of all the acts here or even listen to the festival playlist to get you in the mood.

How much booze can you bring?

Here’s what the Body&Soul website says.

EACH INDIVIDUAL IS PERMITTED:

24 X 500 ml cans of beer, cider or ready mix drinks

Or

1 X 750ml bottle of spirits

Or

3 bottles of wine (decanted into a plastic bottle) / or 1 x 2 litre wine box

NOTE: No alcohol permitted on Sunday day passes.

So, that’s you told.

Don’t miss…

  • David O’ Doherty at the Vodafone Comedy Tent: David has performed his hilarious standup at Body&Soul every year since 2008. The 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown star is sure to draw a massive crowd.
  • Soul Games by Love Olympics: The Reckless in Love stage will transform into a festival sports day on Saturday from 2.30-4pm. We’re practising our three-legged race already.
  • Spiceworld at the Light House Cinema: The cinema will have some cracking films on over the course of the weekend including non-other than the Spice Girls movie. Go on, you know you want to.
  • The Immerse Spa Experience Hottub: It’s the perfect remedy for sleeping in a tent all weekend.

Can you still get tickets?

You sure can although they will probably sell out soon so you better act fast. You can buy them here.
