Spice Girls’ Mel C announces intimate Dublin gig – featuring drag queens

Say you’ll be there…

Or not, not everybody’s a fan of the Spice Girls, after all.

But if you are and you didn’t exactly manage to go and see them the last time they were here, then you’re in luck.

Because Mel C has just announced an intimate Dublin gig – and yes, she will be singing a few iconic Spice Girls hits.

Along with LQBTQ+ club collective Sink The Pink, the singer will be taking to Dublin’s The Academy on Saturday 28th September to belt out some Spice Girls hits, some of her own hits, and an array of popular covers.

There’ll be some bangers, a sequinned catsuit (with added Adidas, naturally), and four extra Spices in drag.

And if that doesn’t peak your interest then tbh, nothing else will.

“This is a bit of a dream come true for me!” said Mel.

“I’m going on tour with Sink the Pink, the most inclusive, fun and fabulous club night in London and we’re taking their best drag queens round the world, for a truly special show. I can’t wait!”

Sink The Pink ringleader Glyn Fussell said that he is, of course, gagging to hit the stage with the one of the actual Spice Girls.

You would be, like.

“It’s not every day a bunch of drag queens get to step out and tour the world with a Spice Girl,” he said.

“This tour shows how committed Melanie is to her LGBTQ fans and we are frankly shitting sequins we are so excited. World here we come!”

Tickets for the gig start at €39.20 and can be purchased from Ticketmaster and other ticket outlets.
