Just try and resist listening to Taylor Swift's new song

Forget about Look What You Made Me Do – this is the Taylor we were waiting for.

Taylor Swift’s first release from her upcoming album left many disappointed as she tried to embrace a whole new sound.

Yes, “the old Taylor is dead” apparently, however in a sneak peek at her next single, we were hopeful she might just be back from the dead.

While Taylor teased six seconds of her new song, Ready For It, on her own social media, it didn’t give much away.

However, just hours later, ESPN shared a teaser for the upcoming season of college football all set to one minute of Taylor’s new song.

While many of ESPN’s target audience were getting excited about the new season, the rest of the internet was getting seriously excited about the new song.

The song has now been released in full and already has nearly four million views on YouTube alone.

While it's a bit of slow starter, we're not going to lie and say we weren't bopping along by the end.
