X Factor favourite Luke Friend has reportedly been dropped by his record label.
The singer, who came third in the 2013 series of the show, is apparently set to part ways with Sony’s RCA.
Luke Friend has reportedly been dropped by Sony RCA.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Sadly it is now just a case of waiting until his contract ends.”
However a representative for Sony is said to have played down the claims, explaining that Luke is still with them.

Luke released his debut single, Hole in My Heart, back in March but it failed to break into the top 20 in the UK charts.
The latest speculation comes after his fellow finalist Sam Bailey was dropped by Sony earlier this year.
UPDATE: Luke himself has denied the reports on Twitter, explaining to fans that he is working on new material.
I’m still with RCA guys and I am writing new material as we speak! I adore my #Friendies and I will never stop making music.
