Airbnb has quickly become a popular option for holiday goers. It is easy to set up, cheaper than a hotel and gives you the option of renting a whole house for a fraction of what it would usually cost.
However, concerns have arisen about how reliable some hosts are as there isn’t an in-depth background check required to become one.
Still, the majority of Airbnb users come away delighted with the service.
This horror story reported by the Mirror however, might make some people think twice.
One Airbnb host has admitted to filming guests having sex while staying at his house.
The confession was posted on Facebook confession page Post Secret and has, understandably attracted a lot of attention.
Not only does this particular host film couples using his accommodation but it seems other hosts do it too and they all swap the tapes.
“I swap hidden camera sex videos with other Airbnb hosts.” The post said.
Many people commented under the photo to express their disgust.
“As an Air BNB host who has been doing my utmost for 2 years to treat my guests with kindness and respect, I’m shocked and saddened by this.” One commenter said.
“Well, this is the most disgusting PostSecret I’ve ever beheld.” Said another.
It is unclear where the incident took place, or if it is even legitimate but this is not the first time stories like this have emerged about the accommodation service.
Last year, an Airbnb user took to reddit to explain that they and their partner had found a hidden camera in an apartment they rented for New Years Eve. The camera was found hidden in a wicker basket!

“We take privacy issues extremely seriously and have a zero tolerance policy for hidden cameras.
Airbnb warns hosts to fully disclose whether there are security cameras or other surveillance equipment at or around the listing and to get consent where required.
When notified, we take immediate action to remove bad actors from our community.”
