Drive4Charity has completed its last run.

Drive4Charity consisted of up to 60 cars touring Ireland for 3 days bucket collecting in aid of various charities such as Crumlin Children’s Hospital, Console and Pieta House.

Drive4Charity is a Non-Profit Organisation that was founded in 2009 by motor enthusiasts Kieran O Donoghue & Jason O Toole with the aim of raising support and funds for charities in Ireland. The Co Founder Kieran O Donoghue lead the charge, with the main sponsor being Garry Dundon (Vanguard). Limerick City Organisers Ian Minihane, Michael Mc Cormack and Noel Byrne also need a major shout out for their work.

After a very successful 10 years, the annual collection has come to an end – and the amount it has gathered over the  years is astonishing.

In total, it has collected €301,853.53 for Irish charities over the decade.

To break it down that’s €224,775.58 for Crumlin Children’s Hospital, €19,396.09 for Pieta House and €57,681.86 for Console and 1Life.

On Saturday night, the final cheque was presented after the 2018 Drive by Gerry Cullen which made €38,792.18. Both Crumlin Childrens Hospital and Pieta House will be getting €19,396.09 each.

Drive4Charity website wrote on its website: “Without the interest and support of people like you Drive4Charity would not exist. Everyone involved would like to express their deepest thanks and gratitude to you for that. None of what Drive4Charity has done or will do would be possible without you.”
