This was just one of many hostile incidents against emergency services last night. An ambulance that was carrying a passenger on board was attacked in Co. Dublin last night as emergency services attempted to keep up with the huge volume of calls on Halloween night. According to Dublin Fire Brigade, the crew were assaulted by a man who climbed on board the ambulance and tried to remove the patient. The windows of the vehicle were smashed, and the ambulance had to be taken out of service.

Thankfully, nobody was injured in the incident.

However, the ambulance was out of service for almost two hours as it was being repaired, putting yet more strain on emergency services.

This was just one of many hostile incidents against emergency services that occurred last night, with Dublin Fire Brigade live tweeting their call-outs, which also saw their crew come under attack from members of the public.

The fire services received approximately 700 calls between 4pm and 8am.
