There’s a huge new store set to open on one of Dublin’s busiest streets

We can't WAIT for this.

Just in time for Christmas, too.

A high street retailer is set to open a flagship store on one of Dublin’s busiest streets before the end of the year.

As JD Sports is set to take over the locations previously occupied by Forever 21 and currently occupied by Next in the Jervis Shopping Centre, Next is said to be moving to a new location on Henry Street.

And it sounds absolutely amazing.

According to the Irish Timesthey will be taking over the four-storey store at 7-9 Henry Street (aka: right beside Arnotts) in the lead up to the holidays.

Fitzwilliam Real Estate Capital’s managing director, Noel Smyth, told the Irish Times that Henry Street – and the surrounding area – was often called the “heart of the city”, and that Next’s new location would be a welcome addition to the area.

He told the publication:

“Presently we are involved in a number of proposed new developments and enhancements in the greater area around Henry Street, both retail and residential, which will continue to reinvigorate the north inner city, giving thousands of consumer’s new reasons to shop, work and live here.”

The move comes as JD Sports is set to take over the location previously occupied by Forever 21, as well as the spot previously located by Next.

The Irish Times report the retailer is going to be taking over the 3,251 square meter property in the Jervis Shopping Centre later this year.

The company are said to be going to pay an annual rent of €2.15 million for the flagship location.

The publication reports that the new shop will also be taking over the spot next door, the 427 square meter location currently occupied by Next.
