The 24-year-old went missing on Saturday evening.

Gardaí have reportedly found a body in their search for missing 24-year-old Jastine Valdez in the Puck’s Castle area in South Dublin.

The body has not yet been formally identified but gardaí and members of the Defence Forces and Civil Service are investigating the area.

The woman was last seen on Saturday evening and gardaí have been asking for anyone with information to come forward.

Eyewitness say they saw Jastine being bundled into a Nissan Qashqai on the R760 Kilcrony road near her home in Enniskerry at a 6.45pm on Saturday evening.

Last night, gardaí shot and killed a man at Cherrywood Business Park in South Dublin while investigating the woman’s disappearance.

The man who was killed was named as Mark Hennessy, a married father-of-two from Woodbrook Estate, Boghall Road in Bray, according to RTÉ.

The car was spotted by a member of the public at the business park in Cherrywood on Sunday evening; when Gardaí approached the man they discovered he was armed with a knife, and the 40-year-old was subsequently shot and killed.

While the car was subsequently searched, Jastine Valdez was not found.

Earlier today, gardaí continued their search for Ms Valdez and it was confirmed earlier that her purse and identification was found in one of the search areas, Rathmichael.

Included in the search was a Garda helicopter, members of the Defence Forces and Civil Defence. Six Army trucks were also said to have helped with the search today.

It is believed that the body was found during these organised searches.
