Temperatures are already set to drop to about zero degrees tonight which is absolutely not ideal, but as the week goes on, we're going to be faced with a good amount of blustery rain too.
According to Met Eireann, showers will be affecting the east and northeast by tomorrow, with breezes freshening the coast as rain arrives into the southwest of Munster in the late afternoon.
The rain will only get heavier throughout the night across Connacht and Munster, leading to risk of flooding in these spots.
The following day (Friday) will see the rain move into the west and southwest throughout the afternoon, with patches of rain turning wintery in some parts of the country.
The rain will continue in parts throughout Friday night leading to an a predictably unsettled weekend across the country, with rain and wind present for most of the morning.
Towards the afternoon, it is expected to clear up though, so you know, just the next four or so days to get through.
