BREAKING: Homeless Families Occupy Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Council

Several families have begun an occupation at Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Council this evening in protest at the chamber's refusal to consider a motion to raise rent allowance caps and look for specific emergency accommodation in the area.

People Before Profit Councillors Melisa Halpin and Hugh Lewis had submitted a Section 140 motion to tonight’s meeting instructing the Manager to meet with the Ministers of Housing and Social Protection to look for immediate action with regard to housing shortage in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown.
