Two young girls injured in car accident in Co. Wexford

They were taken to University Hospital Wexford following the crash.

Two young girls have been seriously injured following a road accident in Co. Wexford.

A man in his 40s, believed to be the girl’s father, was killed in the accident.

Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene on the N25 in Ballinaboola.

The collision involved a tractor and two cars.

The accident happened at approximately 7.10 pm on February 22nd.

One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. Two young girls were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

A post-mortem will be carried out at University Hospital Wexford.

A man in his 30s and a man in his 70s were also taken to the hospital. They’re currently being treated at University Hospital Wexford. Gardaí confirmed that their injuries are serious.

The road between New Ross and Wexford Town has been closed for a technical examination.

Gardaí have launched an investigation following the accident.

Witnesses have been asked to come forward.

Road users who travelled on the route between 6.40 pm and 7.15 pm should contact Gardaí.

Gardáí have also asked road users to make dash cam footage available to them.
