Demi and Wilmer dated for six years before announcing their split in June 2016, however, they have remained friends ever since with many saying they think of each other as the loves of their lives.
Demi was hospitalised on Tuesday after a reported heroin overdose.
TMZ cites law enforcement that says that Demi was treated with Narcan - an emergency treatment for narcotic overdoses - at her own home.
