The dog that was found on an Irish Rail train today is still looking for its owner

Olivia Hayes

Anybody know who owns this dog?

A pupper was found on an Irish Rail train this morning which was commuting from Sallins to Heuston Station.

Irish Rail first shared a picture of a dog, called Hamish, this morning at 10.43, and later shared another picture of the dog sleeping soundly around midday.

The tweet said: “Anyone lost their dog? We have this little fella in Heuston. He was found on the 08:46 Sallins – Heuston. Help us find the owner.”

With the follow up saying: “Our #LostDog is sleeping soundly in #Heuston right now but we’re still hoping to reunite him with his owner.”

However, nobody has come forward to claim the dog so the search for his owner is still ongoing.

This afternoon the company wrote: ‘”Hamish’, who commuted on the 08:46 Sallins – Heuston this morning, is currently being looked after at home by a staff member, but we are still looking for his owner. Sallins / Naas area, do you know someone who owns a dog like this?”

If you know anyone who is missing a dog, or know Hamish, get in touch with Irish Rail ASAP. We’re sure they’d be delighted to see Hamish go back to his home.
