The Port Tunnel in Dublin has been closed in both directions following an incident.
A spokesperson for the Gardaí confirmed to Her that the closure had happened in the last 20 minutes – and that officers are currently arriving on the scene.
He said that they would be sharing more updates as they get them this afternoon.

The Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed that they are also responding to the incident, which they say involves an unsecured load on an HGV – or heavy good vehicle.

Motorists have been encouraged to avoid the area and look for alternative travel arrangements where possible.
