Dublin's Christmas lights are being switched on some time this week. The one million plus light bulbs will come to life at a desperately unknown time during the week, finally lighting the city up with festive cheer. Five kilometres of lights across 30 streets are set to come on all at once - so if you happen to be wandering about the place, don't be surprised if the city lights up all of a sudden, without warning, out of nowhere. They couldn't, however, provide an exact time as to when the Christmas-based excitement is due to kick off.
