An elderly woman has died following a house fire in Dublin last night.

Terrible news.

An elderly woman in her 90s has passed away following a house fire in north Dublin last night.

The fire occurred at a house in Corballis, Cloghran on the Swords Road near Kealy’s pub at around 11pm last night.

Firefighters from Swords, Finglas and Kilbarrack attended the situation.

A spokesperson said that no foul play is suspected surrounding the cause of the blaze.

She said: “Gardaí and fire services attended a fatal house fire in Corballis, Cloghran Co Dublin on the 12 November 2019 at approximately 11.20pm.

“A woman in her 90s was fatally injured in the fire. Foul play not suspected.”

In a statement, the Dublin Fire Brigade said:

“Overnight firefighters from three stations attended a serious house fire on the Swords Road. Crews from Swords, Finglas & Kilbarrack on scene.”
