The local community will stand together to show solidarity with the victims of recent incidents.
"Please join us for a vigil to show that we stand together in support of all those under threat and send a clear message that we reject hate and violence in our communities."
They will also call for steps to prevent further racist, gender-based, or anti-social inspired violence.
The vigil will be held in Fairview Park on Saturday, August 30th at 12 pm.
A local resident stated, "Fairview Park is a brilliant amenity, enjoyed by thousands of local residents and visitors every week.
"There are so many aspects of the park to appreciate, from the flower displays, the playgrounds, the skateboard park, the basketball court, the playing pitches, and the fantastic open spaces to relax in."
She continued: “However, we cannot ignore these recent incidents, nor excuse the small minority who engage in threatening or abusive behaviour, often racist in nature, sometimes aimed at women but also just generally antisocial attitudes."
The short vigil will be addressed by representatives of local residents, park users, and the migrant community.
Those attending the vigil have been told to assemble at the pedestrian bridge.
