For those who don’t know Sweetie, she was the 10-year old computerised version of a child who tracked down 1,000 paedophiles who believed they were engaging in sex acts with a real girl from the Philippines.
The brainchild of a Dutch children rights group, Sweetie was used as part of a sting operation to stop webcam child sex tourism.

Now Australian police has jailed a registered sex offender who is believed to be the first paedophile caught performing sex acts in front of the fake child during an undercover sting online last year.
Scott Robert Hansen, pleaded guilty to three charges in Brisbane District court, including sending obscene images to Sweetie, having images of sexual abuse on his computer and not complying with the terms of him being on the sex offenders’ register.
In transcripts read to the court, Hansen asked Sweetie to confirm she was ten years old, before telling her he was attracted to Asian women and performing a sex act on webcam.
The registered sex-offender was given a two-year prison sentence, but is not expected to go to jail having spent eight months in detention already.
He has been ordered by the court to attend a sex-offender treatment programme and has been given a 12-month correction order.
