A five-year-old child who became a viral sensation when he met his hero Spiderman has passed away from cancer.
Jayden Wilson was given a year to live when he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in September 2014 and won the hearts of the public after a video of his birthday visit from Spiderman gained over nine million views on YouTube.
Jayden's father, who dressed up as the superhero for the surprise, confirmed this week that the brave child passed away on Christmas Eve, saying that "he had fought an amazing battle".
"By far he was the bravest person we know. Jayden had such a happy life. What an incredible five years. We now remember Jayden as that cheeky little chappy, always smiling, playing with his favourite toys, on his scooter, enjoying school, and playing with his friends x will never forget this little Spartan Warrior x."
