Gardaí have issued an appeal this week for information relating to a robbery in Dublin in which the ashes of a two-year-old boy were stolen.
The incident took place on December 20th when thieves gained entry to a house in Fosterbrook, Booterstown and stole several items.
These included an urn containing the ashes of the homeowner's young son, who passed away aged 29 months.
According to TheSunday World, the break-in took place between 12noon and 4pm on the day in question and the urn is described as being a three by three inch wooden box with a stainless steel lid.
Anyone who may have witnessed the burglary or know the whereabouts of the urn is asked to contact Donnybrook Garda Station on 01-6669200.
