Gardaí appeal for witnesses following traffic collision in Galway

Gardaí are asking people to come forward.

Gardaí are currently appealing for witnesses to come forwards after a road traffic accident occurred in Co. Galway on Wednesday.

The serious accident happened in the evening and Gardaí say the collision involved three cars.

The collision took place on the N84 at Grange, Cornadulla at around 9.15pm.

Thankfully, there no fatalities in the collision, but a man who was driving one of the cars was taken from the scene to University Hospital Galway and said to be in a serious condition.

In a statement from An Garda Síochána, they said that two of the vehicles collided at the junction, one swerved away leading to it colliding with a third vehicle.

The road was closed for a technical exam to be carried out but has since been reopened.
