A young mum has sadly died after she was reportedly shot by accident in Finglas on Saturday evening.
Gardaí believe 36-year-old Sandra Boyd was shot when trying to disarm a man known to her. A man in his 20s has since been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Investigating Gardaí are following a definite line of inquiry, according to RTÉ.
Sandra was shot dead at a house party, in front of multiple members of her family at 8.40pm in the Collins Place area on March 19.
A Garda spokesperson said they are interested in speaking to anyone who witnessed the fatal shooting.
Witnesses have been asked to come forward immediately.
They're also looking to speak to drivers who were in the area between 8 and 9pm on March 19. Anyone with video footage should come forward by calling Gardaí in Finglas on 01 666 7500.
Witnesses can also contact the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any other Garda station.
