Local woman Áine O'Reilly was on her way to work in Shannondoc when she was killed in the crash on the N24 near Grange West, Boher, last Friday, February 13, around 11.10 pm.
Ms O’Reilly, a nurse aged in her 30s from Pallasgreen in Limerick, was the only daughter of a retired garda and teacher.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of one vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene, leaving their vehicle behind.
Another driver, a man in his 40s, was injured in the crash; however, his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
In a statement to the public, Gardaí have requested their assistance in the investigations and appealed for information in their attempt to identify the driver who fled the scene.
Investigations are ongoing.
