‘Good sunshine’ and high temperatures… we’re in for a beaut of a day

Olivia Hayes

We’ve been waiting a long time for this.

We were battered with mushy snow, rain and strong winds for most of the year but it looks like all that’s about to change.

According to Met Éireann we’re in for a rather glorious day that includes high temperatures and bright, sunny spells.

The weather forecaster said: “Any fog will clear this morning and it will be another dry day with good sunshine developing widely. However cloud will persist towards the northwest of the country. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees generally in light to moderate southwest breezes.”

Meanwhile for tonight: “Remaining dry overnight with a mix of cloudy skies and clear periods. Lows of 1 to 3 degrees with grass frost in places.”

Tomorrow isn’t looking too bad either as temperatures will also be on the higher side (for Ireland).

“Connacht and Ulster will be cloudier tomorrow with a few spots of light rain or drizzle during the afternoon and evening. However generally dry and sunny elsewhere. Highs of 11 to 15 degrees in moderate southwest breezes.”

Bring it on.
