“I worry about what’s going to happen to her”

Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s loved ones have expressed their concerns ahead of her release from prison.

Gypsy Rose was found guilty of killing her mother Dee Dee Blanchard in 2018 but could be released this year.

Dee Dee physically and psychologically abused her daughter for years. It is believed Dee Dee had Munchausen by proxy syndrome.

Her mother was found dead at their home in 2015. Gypsy Rose was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but she will be eligible for parole this year.

Her friends Fancy Marcelli and Titania Gisclair said they’re worried about her being released.

Marcelli told In Touch:

“Gypsy has served 80 percent of her sentence. She’s supposed to get out in 2025, but I worry about what’s going to happen to her. She doesn’t want counseling, which the prison offers.

“She doesn’t feel that she needs any help.

Gypsy Rose “needs better people around her”, her friends stressed.

Dee Dee lied about Gypsy Rose’s health for years.

Before her death, Dee Dee claimed her daughter had multiple medical issues including leukemia, muscular dystrophy, as well as asthma.

Dee Dee also claimed her daughter had the “mental capacity of a 7-year-old due to brain damage” because she was born prematurely.

However, following multiple examinations, doctors concluded that Gypsy Rose had no disorders. Dee Dee subjected her daughter to unnecessary medication, as well as surgeries.

Gypsy Rose pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was then sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Her former boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn was found guilty of first-degree murder. He is serving life in prison without the possibility of parole.
