'Harry Potter' exhibition coming to London to celebrate its 20th anniversary

We can't believe it's almost 20 years old.

The recent theatre launch of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child, its accompanying book release, and the excitement surrounding the upcoming Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them shows that the Harry Potter franchise is well and truly standing the test of time.

The book that started it all, Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone, came out in July 1997, and while that doesn't seem all that long ago, next summer will make it 20 years old.

To celebrate this milestone, there will be an exhibition in London beginning next autumn according to Mashable.

It will be hosted in the British Library and will include a whole host of Harry Potter themed fun - from magical objects and manuscripts to detailed origins of the philosopher's stone and even some of JK Rowling's personal archives.

In a statement released by the British Library, Jamie Andrews, Head of Culture and Learning , said:

“We at the British Library are thrilled to be working with J.K. Rowling and with Bloomsbury to mark the twentieth anniversary of Harry Potter, and to inspire fans with the magic of our own British Library collections.”

The Exhibition will take place from October 20, 2017 to February, 28 2018, with tickets being made available next spring.

We're guessing tickets will go quite fast, but we may start looking up flights to London, just so we're prepared.
