The Health Department base on Baggot Street has been evacuated after a suspicious package was sent to our Health Minister Simon Harris.
After the package was opened, all employees had to vacate The Miesian Plaza, the building which houses the Health Department, as a "white substance" was found within the letter.
A source told Dublin Live: "A letter was sent directly to his office, it contained white powder but the substance has yet to be examined."
Dublin firefighters who specialise in hazardous materials are currently at the scene, with the whole building being cordoned off.
