It's one of the most nerve-wracking events of your life.
Having recently passed my driving test, I can definitely testify to the amount of pressure you feel before getting into the car to do it.
There are plenty of exercises people perform before getting into the car to calm themselves, from chewing gum, inhaling and exhaling slowly and of course, practising driving a plenty but sometimes, even all those routines don't work on the big day.
If you REALLY wanted to pass your test, you could head to the centre which has the highest rate of passes, which has been revealed in
The Irish Times.
According to the RSA, Sligo town is the driving test centre with the highest success rate, while Rathgar in Dublin has been named as the centre with the highest failure rate.
From statistics by the RSA, the centres with the with best chance of passing are
- Sligo (72%)
- Ennis, Co Clare (71%)
- Roscommon (68%)
- Loughrea, Co Galway (65.5%)
- Clifden (65.3%).
The centres with the highest failure rate however are
- Rathgar (57.1%)
- Tallaght, Co Dublin (53.3%)
- Shannon, Co Clare (52.9%)
- Naas, Co Kildare (52.57%)
- Wicklow (51.9%)
It looks like the west is truly the best... At least for when you want to pass your driving test!
