A legal wrangle over the upcoming Garth Brooks concerts at Croke Park officially begun today, with a High Court injunction now being sought against the remaining three gigs.

According to the Irish Independent, solicitor Anthony Fay has lodged a case against Aiken Promotions (Ireland) Ltd and Páirc an Chrócaigh Teoranta (Croke Park Ltd).

It is understood that the proceedings have been initiated on behalf of a local resident and seek an injuction against the three concerts that were granted a license by Dublin City Council.

The moves follows speculation that the concerts, slated to take place from July 25th to 27th, could go ahead as planned, with the two extra dates being rescheduled next year.

It has also been announced that a press conference on the controversy will be held by Garth Brooks this Thursday.
