A 6-year-old boy from Long Island who was born without part of his left arm, has had his Christmas wish come true thanks to a special fundraiser campaign.
Like many young boys his age, Christopher Kiezek wanted an Xbox from Santa - He told the man in red that the only other wish he had was to have an arm to hold the game controller.
Friend of the family Robert Jackson was so touched by his story that he set up a campaign for him to fund the prosthetic limb. Insurance does not cover the prosthetic limb for Christopher because it was determined that medically it wasn’t necessary to his life.
“I cried,” Jackson told Fox News on hearing about the young boy.
Robert hoped to raise $25,000 by Christmas but thanks to donations, he surpassed that goal and has managed to raise close to $50,000.
“No one has done anything for us, so we've hit roadblocks left and right,” Chrisopher’s mother Christine Kiezek said. “Someone's doing something for us - it's great.”
