Households across Ireland have until midnight tonight to register their details with Irish Water.
Following countrywide protests over the weekend, householders have been warned that they must register today or face a default charge of €260 when billing kicks off in April.
According to reports, more than one million households have already registered – 56% of the total customer base.
People are being urged to confirm their details so that they will also be eligible for the €100 Water Conservation Grant.
