It’s Casual Friday: RTE Newsreader Rolls Up To Work In A Hoodie (We Think: “Fair Play”)

We’re all for casual Fridays here in the Her.ie office, so we couldn’t help but think ‘fair play’ when we saw this picture of Susan Jackson, bedecked in a hoodie as she read out the news on Morning Ireland. What a woman.

The Irish Independent reports that Susan delivered the news headlines in a hoodie this morning (like a BOSS, might we add). Now, we know what you’re thinking: but isn’t Morning Ireland a radio show? The answer is yes. However, the show broadcasts a live video feed from the studio every morning and maybe Susan forgot that the cameras were still rolling.

Or maybe, she just wanted to be comfortable like the rest of us.

While blazers, shirts and business clothes are the normal dress code on the programme every morning, Susan decided to roll into work in a blue hoodie and a pair of jeans.

“It was a t-shirt with the Superman logo  which she wore with a blue hoodie. There was no reasoning behind it,” said a spokesperson for RTE.

We think Susan Jackson is a lady after our own heart because let’s be honest: a hoodie is so much warmer and comfier than a boring blazer.
