Oritsé Williams has been charged with raping a woman.

The singer, best known as a member of JLS, and a friend are accused of assaulting the woman, 20, in December 2016.

The incident is alleged to have taken place at Williams’ hotel in Wolverhampton after a gig at a nightclub in the city.

The woman and a friend were invited back to his hotel room after the show and agreed to go with him, it is claimed.

“They eventually left the room but outside they realised they left behind coats and — more importantly — a handbag with a purse in it containing taxi money to get home,” a source told The Sun.

“One girl knocked on the door saying she wanted to retrieve her stuff and was let back in. It’s then she says she was raped.

“Police were called to the hotel shortly afterwards to a report of rape.”

The singer was arrested there but was later bailed.

Police have since charged him with raping the woman. Williams denies the allegations.

He left roles with charities including the MS Society after word of his arrest broke.

Oritsé is a father to four-year-old son Omré with his partner AJ Azari.
