Irish comedian Joanne McNally is rumoured to appear on one of the UK's most popular reality TV shows.
The 42-year-old was believed to be approached to star in the next series of The Celebrity Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman.
A TV insider told The Sun: “Joanne has a popular podcast and a substantial social media following, which will appeal to the younger viewers who, at one time, wouldn’t be religiously watching a mainstream show on the BBC.
“But people like Joanne are the bridge between old and new media.
“Plus, she’s hilarious, with a sense of humour based on the fact she’s a single woman navigating the dating world — something which also appeals to a younger market.”
Joanne is currently in the midst of her latest stand-up tour, Pinotphile, which will run until the end of June.
However, fans have noticed Joanne's schedule seems to look pretty empty for May, when The Celebrity Traitors is filmed at Ardross Castle in Scotland.
Alongside her comedy career, Joanne is the co-host of the award-winning My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast alongside best friend Vogue Williams.
Since launching in 2021, the podcast has grown to over 2.5 million monthly listeners, fuelling a worldwide tour that ended with five sold-out shows at Dublin’s 3Arena.
Some might also recognise McNally as the host of the popular BBC Sounds format Joanne McNally Investigates, which has already delivered two series, including Who Replaced Avril Lavigne? and Do Furbys Spy On Us?
Other stars rumoured to appear alongside McNally on the next series of The Celebrity Traitors include Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, Gavin & Stacey’s Ruth Jones, comedian and actress Daisy May Cooper, and League of Gentlemen star Steve Pemberton.
