We’re salivating already…

British real estate agent Morgan Williams is reportedly looking at sites in Ireland to bring popular doughnut chain Krispy Kreme to our shores.

For those of you getting excited about getting a doughnut after a few pints in your local, you may be disappointed as the first Irish store will be situated in Dublin.

According to The Irish Times, a representative for Morgan Williams, Tim Edwards spoke of how the franchise wants to expand to the capital.

“They’re looking at expanding into Ireland…

“It’s a priority for them. It’s the next obvious place to go… there’s a real push on.”

Property sources have hinted that the new store will be situated near Blanchardstown Shopping Centre or Liffey Valley, with the chain on the hunt for a building of 4,700sq ft that will accommodate a drive-thru and have room for a car park for at least 60.

Once this first outlet is established, it’s reported Krispy Kreme will look into opening smaller stores to appear in airports and train stations.
