Someone in Ireland is celebrating the weekend in style after they won €500,000 in last night’s EuroMillions draw.

The winning numbers for the main jackpot – worth an estimated €36,535,987 – were: 4, 30, 31, 38, 42 with the lucky stars drawn as 4 and 6.

And while nobody managed to win the top prize, there were four lucky players – elsewhere in Europe – who won the match 5 and +1 star.

The EuroMillions Plus, which has a jackpot of €500,000, was just the lucky ticket for one player in Ireland, though.

The digits drawn were 5, 7, 8, 9 and 17 – and there was one overall winner of the top prize.

The National Lottery confirmed last night that the ticket had been sold in the South of the country, and now they’ve given even more details.

The Spar Express in Cahersiveen, Co Kerry was the lucky shop that sold the ticket – and the owners, Jack and Tracy Fitzpatrick, said there has already been plenty of speculation as to who the winner is.

Tracy said:

“We can’t believe it!

“There is huge excitement and buzz in the store today everybody is in great form.

“We are a very busy shop with a lot of passing traffic and we had a bumper summer with tourists so it could be a local or a visitor.

“But we are keeping our fingers crossed it is a local.”

This is the 22nd EuroMillions Plus winner in Ireland in 2018.
