Recruitment for enumerators for the 2016 Census kicks off this morning from 9 am, with more than 4,500 applicants required to fill roles.
The 2016 Census is due to commence on Sunday, April 24
th, with the part-time positions lasting a 10-week period.
According to
The Irish Times, enumerators can earn approximately €2,400 for the part-time role, which includes delivering and collecting some of the 2.3million forms from Irish households over the time of the Census.
Enumerators are paid a fixed fee for the delivery and collection of forms, as well as a fixed allowance for training, working Sundays and travel expenses.

Speaking to the Irish Times, head statistician at the Central Statistics Office Deirdre Cullen said: “demand for these posts is always incredibly high”.
The application process opens from 9am this Tuesday morning to Friday, January 8
th.
