It looks like Ireland will miss the annual exam weather this year

It’s over.

You could always rely on a burst of glorious weather during the Leaving Cert and Junior Cert exams. While thousands of students would be sweating over English paper one on Wednesday, you could be assured that the sunshine would have your brow sweating also.

Who knows, maybe we have gotten our summer already and as a result of the fantastic weather over the last month, we may have had to sacrifice our annual exam weather.

Sadly, according to Met Eireann, Ireland looks like it’s set to get some unsettled weather this week with rain and thundery showers in store.

While Monday sees temperatures at a reasonable 13 to 15 degrees, they will be greeted with blustery northwesterly winds and heavy showers.

Tuesday and Wednesday will see rain move in from the Atlantic into the south-west in the late morning and will extend countrywide during the afternoon and evening.

The middle of the week will also see patches of fog adding to the dose of thundery showers and Thursday will follow suit with scattered thundery showers with temperatures of 16 t0 18 degrees (love a bit of warm rain).

Friday sees heavy rain spreading from the Atlantic towards the end of the day. So, if students were expecting to relax and enjoy some rays after Maths paper one, they may just be confined indoors for the rest of the day also.
