Can it just stop raining, please?

The past few days have been absolutely awful; but unfortunately, the end is not in sight.

Met Éireann has predicted that we’re in for a rather grim day, which will see rain and hail cover the country. As well as that, temperatures will drop to -2 degrees tonight so you better wrap up warm.

The weather forecaster said: “Frost and icy stretches mostly in parts of Connacht, Ulster and north Leinster clearing this morning to give a cold, bright day with good sunny periods.

“Many places will be dry, but scattered rain or hail showers will affect northwestern, northern and some eastern areas, these showers are likely to be more wintry on higher ground. Highest temperatures will range 5 to 8 degrees Celsius and feeling cold in the blustery northerly wind.”

As for tonight: “Mostly dry, clear and cold tonight, but a few rain or hail showers will continue near northwestern, northern and possible some eastern coasts. Overnight lows of +2 to -2 degrees Celsius with frost and icy stretches developing away from western, northern and some eastern coasts.”

Tomorrow, Friday, isn’t looking too bad however the weekend is going to be “colder than normal” with “frost most nights.”
