It won't stay calm for long though and tonight is predicted to be "blustery or windy," with rain becoming heavy in a few areas. "Tonight will become quite blustery or windy, especially in coastal areas as south to southwest winds strengthen. Many areas will be mainly dry. However, showers will become heavy in western and southern coastal counties. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees."Mainly dry with good sunshine this morning.Scattered showers in the west. These will extend eastwards today & will mainly affect the western half of the country. Eastern coastal counties will stay dry.
