"Feeling cool in northerly winds, increasing fresh and gusty as the day goes on, with strong winds developing near exposed coasts. Top temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees." Meanwhile, tonight we will see: "Cloud and outbreaks of rain will persist in eastern coastal counties tonight, with drier clearer conditions prevailing elsewhere. Lows of 3 to 7 degrees in moderate northerly winds which will continue fresh to strong and gusty near coasts." The rest of the week is looking similar, with dry mornings and blustery afternoons. We think it's finally time to invest in a good raincoat...Mostly cloudy and misty in places to begin today, with outbreaks of rain. Becoming mainly dry in western areas this afternoon with sunny intervals developing, but rain will continue further east, heaviest in east Leinster, with a risk of spot flooding. Highs of 8 to 11 degrees. pic.twitter.com/MBEa4h5bYD
