*Warning: this article contains reference to child death. A mother and her newborn baby have been found dead in a hotel room in England. They were discovered "unresponsive" at a Travelodge in Leicester City Centre. The hotel is located near the Haymarket Shopping Centre. The alarm was raised by the hotel staff. Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 3pm, according to Leicester Live. Both the mother and her baby were taken to the hospital, but despite the healthcare workers' best efforts, they were both pronounced dead at Leicester Royal Infirmary. According to Leicester Police, the East Midlands Ambulance Service arrived at the scene at 3pm. The paramedics contacted the police, who also attended the scene. They made the call after discovering the mother and baby in the hotel room. They believe the baby had just been delivered in the hotel room. "Officers attended the scene and both were taken to hospital where sadly they were pronounced deceased shortly after arrival," she added. "The deaths are not being treated as suspicious, but unexplained, while further inquiries are being carried out."
