“My amazing brother passed away suddenly while in Belfast,” stated his brother Martin in a Facebook post.
“We will miss him so much – beyond words can express – and we know that hundreds of other people in Chorley, around the country and across the world will feel the same way.
“Matthew was such a talented musician and songwriter. His music with band-mates DFailsafe and his solo work was enjoyed by thousands of people. It’s going to take a long time to come to terms with our loss.”
Failsafe have released three albums and have toured the UK, Europe and the USA. They were described by NME as a “genuinely killer live band with huge choruses and breakneck riffs.”
