Met Éireann just issued another snow and ice warning

Another day, another weather warning.

Met Éireann have issued a low temperature warning for all of Ireland.

The status yellow caution comes into effect at 2am on Wednesday and lasts until 10am the same day.

The forecasters warn that there will be lows of -3C in some areas of the country overnight.

And tomorrow isn’t looking much better.

Frost and lingering mist will clear in the morning, with another largely dry day with sunny spells forecast.

The odd isolated shower will happen along the south and east coast, with temperatures reaching 7C to 9C.

It will be mainly dry overnight, with cloud expected to be thicker and some patchy rain along the coasts.

The lowest temperatures will range between 0C and 3C from east to west, with some frost in the eastern areas.

While Thursday and Friday will be cloudier with some chances of rain, the weekend looks set to take a dip in temperatures.

Met Éireann have said that details of further outlook remains uncertain and will be monitored for detail.

At the moment it looks like it will be a cold regime with easterly winds, temperatures below freezing at night and the risk of snow showers along the east and south coast, but mainly dry elsewhere.
