One woman has been killed and five others have been injured in Co Kildare following a road traffic accident overnight.
The incident occurred at approximately 9pm last night on the M7 near junction 13.
It has been reported that five people were taken to Tallaght and Naas hospitals. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
According to reports, a statement from the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) confirmed that two vehicles, one of which the gardaí were pursuing, were involved in the crash.
The GSOC is investigating the accident and has appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 1890 600 800.
