A man and woman have been arrested after they allegedly left their daughter in a locked car while they went shopping.

Parents Ho Kim (33) and Tae Kim (35) from Fullerton, California, were taken to Brea City Jail after the toddler was found in the car of the parking lot.

Police were called out to the scene at Brea Mall just before 5.00pm on Sunday. They found the little girl inside a black Nissan Quest van with an internal temperature of 104 degrees Fahrenheit.

Thankfully officers were able to instruct the three-year-old, who was in the car for approximately 20 minutes, how to open the car doors. She was taken to hospital and was found to be in good condition.

According to KTLA5, her parents are both being held at Brea City Jail on bail of $100,000 each.
