Prince Andrew has been named in court documents regarding underage sex allegations, according to reports today.

A woman is claiming that investment banker Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of soliciting sex with an underage girl, “loaned” her out to his rich friends including the Duke of York.

The Guardian reports that she alleges in the papers that she was forced to have sexual relations with Prince Andrew in London, New York and on a Caribbean island.

The woman was apparently 17 years of age at the time. She is considered as a minor in Florida where the papers have been filed.

A palace spokesperson refused to comment on the accusations which are part of a motion filed in connection with Epstein. (The Duke is not a named party to the legal claim.)

They said: “This relates to long-standing and ongoing civil proceedings in the United States, to which The Duke of York is not a party.

“As such we would not comment on the detail. However, for the avoidance of doubt, any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue.”
